Dr Zoltan Bourne

Dr Zoltan
Bourne

Director / Owner

Zoltan became the owner of Medicine on Maple in 2007 and has committed his time and resources to improving access to the breadth and depth of health services that our ‘city folk’ take for granted.

He comes from a dairy farming family on the Darling Downs.

Zoltan lives in Maleny and is very proud to be raising his family in this diverse and wonderful community.

Zoltan’s time is spent with his two young sons and his wife enjoying the quality of life that is on offer in Maleny and the greater Sunshine Coast region.

He loves cooking and gardening.

Due to several complicated spinal surgeries, Zoltan remains on permanent medical leave but still has a ‘finger on the pulse’ of his Business!

Veronique Ponthieu

Veronique Ponthieu

Hub Manager

Upon immigrating to Australia from Belgium, Veronique eventually settled in beautiful Maleny in 1986 and became the first Medical Receptionist and Typographer for the Medical Superintendent's private Medical Practice attached to the Maleny Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.

Since then Veronique has become the ‘Mother’ of this medical business and whilst she vehemently states “I might speak funny, but I don’t have an accent – everyone else does!”, she has called Australia home since 1980 and continues to cheekily ask for a “box of chocolates” (Belgian, of course) when trying her best to accommodate everyone’s needs in a busy medical practice!

So, if you cannot see or hear Veronique, you can be assured that she is looking after the Hub – which means that she is looking after you!

When Julie is not working she enjoys travelling, planning new vacations, cooking and spending time with her family (which includes 3 grandchildren).

Julie is a true professional with a genuine desire to help people.

Samantha has used her formal training and a continuing development of IT skills (reflective of our ever-changing health system) over the last 8 years to become our very first IT & Computer Security Coordinator – no small task!

When Sam is not ‘greeting & meeting’ you at Reception, she will be busy ensuring that our IT & Computer systems are functioning, remaining protected from viruses, malware & intrusion software.
